POICTIERS, 756 tons, sailed from London 7/2/1850 and arrived, via the north, 4/9/1850. Captain Thomas Shrubsole Beal; James Eyres Coward, surgeon, afterwards assistant-surgeon, 65th Regiment, and later practising in Huddersfield, where he died in 1879. He was accompanied by his wife Lucy and twin children Lucy and Rosa, aged 15 months. Both children died during the voyage.

Please don't ask us about Port Chalmers passenger arrivals later than 1851. Try Australia and New Zealand Passenger Lists. It's not our area of expertise. Also, please don't ask what individual passengers did after they arrived In New Zealand. All we know about them is in these lists.
